GardenGames.com

Big news in the Garden games world. The website www.gardengames.com is being relaunched.

Having been an excellent website selling Kubb from its base in Sweden, it stopped trading around 6 months ago. Now it has been bought by Garden Games Limited and will be relaunched as a new trade focussed site.

It will have details on all the Garden Games range, and will feature each of the worldwide network of Distributors.

Garden Games

A spokesman for Garden Games said: ‘Garden Games Limited are the leaders in the world in the development of specialist Garden Games products, and when the domain became available, we felt we had to put a website on it. It will be more internationally focused, and will showcase our complete range, and of course new product developments too.’

From Croquet sets to adult fun products like Giant Connect 4, it is clear that the strength of the company is in Giant Sized Games for the Garden.

We especially like the Superb Giant Snakes and Ladders, and Hi-Tower, the classic garden tower game.

Whilst the company is also active in other areas of Outdoor Play, with the Action Climbing Frames range and some Trampolines now, this web site is focuused on Garden Games only. It does not retail the products though, preferring to link to each of the major 5-star stockists in the UK, and each international distributor too.

We also belive that the site will become a source of data for each of the products with Instructions, and tips on playing the games loaded very soon. Keep an eye on it, we are sure it will become a great Garden Games resource.

Pink is the new toy colour for 2010

The Bounce and Spin Zebra is a large toy that is expected to be in the Top Ten Toys for 2009, but the really interesting thing is that it is Pink.

It used to be that manufacturers would avoid Pink because it is a polarizing colour, excluding boys. The assumption was that girls would go for girls colours, but not the other way around. Now though, manufacturers are waking up to segmentation and getting an edge with girls, and making things pink, expressly for girls is increasingly common.

Getting a massive share of 50% of the market is better obviously than a much smaller share of the whole market. So go get the edge.

TP Genius Range – Ballooppa likely to stay at low post launch price

TP have launched some exceptional products this year, under their new TP Genius Banner.

The products include:

TP STAR Trampolines(previously called TP Planet Trampolines)

TP Ballooppa

TP Spiro Hop

TP Quadpod

They are all great products, led by fabulous design, but the Ballooppa had a strange launch being first sold for £34.25 but soon after laucnh having a huge price cut so that the retail price fell to around £19.95.

There has been some debate about whether this was a launch price sut or a permanent one. Well, we can not be sure, but we now believe that the price will be held at the low level for next year. Good news for consumers since it is a great product.
